Adobe Scan is a free to use Android application to scan documents and create PDFs

Highlights:

  • This App is developed by Adobe - also known for their other products including Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop Express for Android to name a few.

  • This App is filled with features to scan all the things one might need and store them in PDF format.
  • One can scan documents, photos, business cards, news paper articles and much more.
  • This App has a built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) module that scans each document and recognizes the text in it.
  • The User Interface is clean and easy to use.

  • The right hand side of the above image provides multiple options before scanning.
  • The Auto-capture feature is a significant upgrade and allows seamless scanning of documents with more number of pages.
  • Click on the Home screen icon to view previously scanned documents, share, edit and copy them to device.
  • To modify a scanned document, open the scanned document and select modify which opens a wide variety of editing options.

  • One can switch between light and dark theme by clicking on the menu button -> preferences -> select light/dark/auto from the drop down menu under 'App theme'.

Note:
1. By default all the scanned documents will be stored in cloud.
2. By default all the documents will be scanned for recognizing text, which can be turned off from the        preferences menu.
